LIVE FROM PROFITS BUT PRESERVE SUBSTANCE

From purchasing, manufacturing and packaging our products to storage and transport – every single step of our actions has an impact on our ecological and social environment. Caviar Tresor has been focusing its corporate policy on sustainability, particularly in the caviar trade, for several years now and has developed this into a real core competency.

STURGEON BREEDING PROJECT ON THE CASPIAN SEA

With a unique sturgeon farming project in the Caspian Sea, we have, in cooperation with our partners, made a statement to protect sturgeon stocks, but also to ensure sustainable trade in this region! In our opinion, the costs that this incurs represent worthwhile investments in the future in the long term, while at the same time creating and promoting the urgently needed sustainability of marine resources in this region!

The breeding of sturgeons began in 2001 in the aquaculture farm on the Caspian Sea, on the north-eastern coastal region of Iran. The Caspian Sea is the natural habitat where over 90% of the world's sturgeon populations live. In this region, on a total area of 70,000 square meters, there are around 20,000 Beluga sturgeons that are intended for breeding and caviar production. The untouched nature and the optimal environmental conditions in the Iranian part of the Caspian Sea are particularly important for the unique quality of our Caspian caviar. A quality that was known only decades ago!
