Since 1998, all 27 sturgeon species worldwide have been protected by the Washington Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES). This measure serves to secure sturgeon stocks but also to ensure sustainable trade. In accordance with the latest CITES guidelines, we note information about the sturgeon species, country of origin, year of capture, location of the outer packaging, as well as the relevant CITES and batch numbers of the caviar on each caviar tin and on the corresponding invoice. Furthermore, all our tins are sealed with a sealing tape to confirm the original condition of the goods.
